7-24-08 Austin's 1st Birthday!

We celebrated Austin's 1st birthday on the 24th (Pioneer Day!) My little boy is growing up so fast. We had a fun day in the sun, and we got to see the Mike Henry firework show later that night... what a fun birthday for Austin!

Summertime Fun!

Jordan and Austin have been having all kinds of fun this summer. Jordan is always watching his dad play basketball in the backyard, so we put his hoop back there so he can play just like him. When he's not playing basketball, you'll find Jordan putting, or jumping on the trampoline. The kids have been going to the pool, and they both love to splash and play in the water. We've all been enjoying this beautiful weather and we're just soaking it up.

Hogle Zoo

7/11/08 We had a packed day today; we went swimming this morning and then Jordan really wanted to see the animals at the Zoo, so we packed up and went to Hogle Zoo. Both kids loved to see all of the different kinds of animals. Jordan kept saying, "Mom, come on, let's go check this out!", as we went from one animal station to the next. As we packed up in the car to leave, I turned my head to check on the kids and they were both sound asleep. Busy day.

Dinosaur Museum

6/08 Jordan got to have a fun play day at the Dinosaur Museum with some of his cousins. We got to learn about all of the different types of dinosaurs and we even got to dig in the wet sand to find dinosaur parts. Fun stuff :-)

Hit it!

Jordan knows what it means when we say, "hit it";
maybe next year we can put him behind the boat
and see if he can try out the wakeboard
(or a surfboard according to Jordan.) He loves
the lake and we're so excited that we can share
these great memories as a family.

Angel Baby

My little angel baby Austin..

Austin is such a mild baby and he has the softest laugh (sounds like Elmo). We spend a lot of time at the park, swimming at the pool, and just playing around in the back yard. Austin loves the outdoors and he is such a fun baby to have around. We love this little baby boy.

Golfing Buddies

This picture is one of my favorites; this is Jordan's "best buddie" (that's what he calls Jared these days). Jared is teaching Jordan how to put, and Jordan is so receptive anything Jared tries to teach him or show him. Jared calls Jordan "mini-me" and the description is fitting. Jordan follows Jared around and tries to be just like Dad. They really are buds!

Bahama Birthday!

For my 30th Birthday this year, Jared planned a trip away to the Bahamas for 11 days. We had such a great time; this trip was like our honeymoon all over again! We met some of the nicest friends on our trip: Matt and Laura from NY. We had so much fun soaking up the sun, scuba diving, playing golf, checking out the private island by our hotel, taking the power boat ride to Exuma Island (the most breathtaking place in the world!); and just lounging around the pool. Ahhh... we had a great time!
