Birthdays, Babies, and Get Aways...

Lunch with the Girls:
We all met up at Olive Garden to celebrate Emily's baby girl who is due next month! I love seeing these girls and it's always so fun when we do get together.

Happy Birthday Wendy!
We wanted to surprise Aunt Wee and sneak up on her behind her desk but she was in a board meeting when we got there. She was still able to sneak out and see the boys for a few minutes (and Cayden was so tired and so ready for a nap!), but we got to see Aunt Wee, wish her a happy birthday, and we still want to take her to lunch one day soon! Happy Birthday Wendy!! We all love you so much.

The Living Aquarium
Tiffany and her boys, and some moms from my neighborhood all got together for a play day at the Living Aquarium. I love that our little boys are finally old enough to keep up with the big kids; they had so much fun checking things out and cruising around.

Chuck-E-Cheese
The kids had a day off from school so we thought it would be fun to go see a dollar movie. I invited my niece to come with us and the kids were so excited about this movie! We got to the window to buy our tickets and found out our movie had been sold out, so we went to plan B: McD's and Chuck-E-Cheese. Not a bad day, after all :-)

Family Night Out:
Happy Birthday Jen! We had another birthday in the family this month; Jared's youngest sister celebrated her 26th bday with us.

St. George!
We always try and break up the winter by heading down to St. George. It's so nice to get outside and play. We were able to get out and play some golf, go on a few walks, play at the parks, and go swimming. We love this place!

A New Year!

We miss the holidays and all of the Christmas craziness... and yes, my tree is still up but will be coming down this weekend. Yikes. But we've already had tons of fun in 2011; so far it's been a great year. Here's some of our family's whereabouts this year so far:

Planetarium: For Christmas the boys got passes to the Planetarium so we made a day out of it. We played around up at the Gateway, went to see Hubble (such a cool 3D movie about outter space), and then went to lunch at Applebees. It was an official "Planetarium Day", according to Jordan.

Movies: We took Maura Henry with us for the day and went to see Chronicles of Narnia and then went our for a bite. She's just the sweetest thing and she's so easy to have with us.

Brighton Ski Trip: Jordan got his own set of skis and gear, and a ski lesson at Brighton for Christmas. We made it into a trip and stayed up there with Jared's mom, dad, and my niece, Valerie. She and Jordan took their first ski lessons and they loved it! Jared and I got to spend the day all alone on the slopes while Grandma and Grandpa watched our two little boys. We let the kids ski the next day and by the time we were all done, Jordan was going down the hill faster than I could strap on my snowboard, and he kept telling me that his skis were magic. So it was a fun trip and our little boy learned how to ski!!!

We love the snow! We love to ride the tube down the hill in the backyard, build snowcastles, and make snowangels right after snowstorm. Isn't Utah the greatest place on earth? I think so!

Brighton, Again! We had so much fun up there we decided to go up again, and I'm sure we'll be up there quite a few more times before this season is over. Here's Jordan's 3rd day of skiing:

Swimming @ the gym: These boys love to swim even if it is snowing outside. Luckily we can swim even in the winter and luckily both boys have afternoon school so we can squeeze in a little swim time before school each week.

New Year's Eve! And this is where the New Year began. We started the night by going to dinner with Jared's dad, picked up Jared's mom at Temple Square, went to Layton to drive indoor race cars, and when we took his mom and dad home we went to our friend's NYE party and watched the countdown. Such a fun night and a great way to dive into 2011.
