One of "Those" Days..

Today went something like this:
8:00 Basketball practice
9:00 Basketball game
10:00 Soccer
11:00 Mandatory Saturday Treat Stop
12:00 Airborne Trampoline Arena
2:00 Lunch with my cute cousin and our kids
3:00 Costco Run
4:00 Emergency Room
7:00 Home, Sad; Really Sad.

I wish:
1. My hubby could be here with me and not across the world in Dubai.
2. That we had better news about baby #4. I was only 7 weeks along but after a lot of bleeding and cramping today my 3 boys and I spent a chunk of the afternoon in the ER getting the down-and-dirty bad news about the new little baby we were hoping to have in May.
Sad.

I'm grateful for:
1. My 3 healthy, beautiful boys. I love them all so much.
2. Awesome friends and family.
3. Jared;  he was so sweet to me when I called him to let him know about our news.
4. My oldest son, Jordan. I am so in love with this kid. He could tell how sad I was today and he stepped right up to the plate today and took it upon himself to make sure that I was ok. I was in my gown and I sent him on an errand to go to the car to get diapers and wipes for Cayden; he tried to keep the other two in line today while we were in the hospital, the kids were all hungry so I sent him in to get dinner for everyone. He kept asking me all sorts of questions about my tummy, he wanted to know every minute how I was feeling, if he could get me anything. WOW; he really took care of me. We all got in our jammies and turned on a movie; he snuggled right up to me and hugged me the entire time. And tonight when I got into bed I found a little note from Jordan that reads, "I love you. I hope your stomach feels better. Thank you for coming to my class two days ago. Love Jordan" He's my little hero today.
So I'm sad, but I'm really happy at the same time. I was checking my inventory of pros and cons today and when I look at the big picture and try and keep everything in its proper perspective I'm still blown away at how blessed I am; I have so, so, so much to be grateful for. Life is beautiful. And I know that tomorrow will be a much better day.

Jordan's 7th Birthday

In a few months this little guy will be turning 8; hard to believe. So it's about time that I try and catch up and write a few things about this special little boy and document how we spent his big day. SeVeN years old. Seven. I still remember when I found out I was having my first baby and how excited I was. I wanted to know what this baby would look like, I wanted to meet him, I wanted to know everything about him. I wanted to hold him and kiss him, and make sure that he knew he was loved every second of the day. And now, seven years later - I'm still madly in love with this little boy. I love him for so many reasons. He's so smart. He's loves to learn. He loves to compete and always wants to be #1. He wants to be just like his dad. He still holds my hand. He still loves to be near me in public places; something that I know will change as he grows and this scares me to death. I love this kid so much and I'm so very proud of him.
This is how we celebrated Jordan's Birthday:
Breakfast in Bed. (Something he looks forward to like no other!)
All this yummy stuff and he still opted for Cheerios.
Jordan wanted to have his birthday party at Boondocks and invite all of his favorite friends. And so that's what we did; he had a great day.
