Chasing little boys around

My life seems to revolve around this one thing: chasing my two little boys around. And I love it! They sure do keep me busy, but I can't think of anything that I'd rather be doing than spending time with my kids. Jordan got to have some play time with his best buddie: Corbin; we spent part of the day at Wheeler Farms feeding the ducks, checking out the farm animals, and going on the tractor ride.

Jordan's first attempt at using chop-sticks (he'll get the hang of it one of these days!) But he had fun giving it a try.
Last week Jared's mom and dad invited us to join them and the other cousins at Jungle Jims.

We took the kids to see the divers at the Mayan (Jordan and Austin love watching the dive show), and one of the divers came over to see the kids and Jordan thought that was just the coolest thing on earth.

Love these little boys and can't wait for our #3 to be here... 10 weeks to go.

Easter Sunday

The Easter bunny made it to our house this year (we're usually in not home for Easter and so this year was a treat). Sunday morning the kids woke up and got to search for eggs all over the house; went to church and got more candy, and later we had an Easter egg hunt at our house, and of course, more candy. It was a fun day and we had fun celebrating Easter this year. Here's some pictures of my cute little boys, Corbin, and Valerie searching for eggs in the backyard:

Sand Dunes and More...

We had another glimpse of Spring! We were so excited to get out and enjoy some of the warm weather so we took the kids down to the sand dunes for the day; I think the sand dunes is a little boy's heaven on earth. My boys all have one thing in common, they all love the sound of motors, bikes, and dirt.

Jordan wanted to play baseball with dad so here's Jared practicing with Jordan out in the backyard.

We took the kids down to the mall to see the Easter Bunny, ride the carousel, and of course, have some ice-cream to top it off.

Jordan's friend Jackson came over to play and the kids got to show off their art skills. Such cute kids!
Jared went to St. George with his friends: Scott Judd, Jared Carlson, and Travis Stringham for 4 days to ride their dirt bikes, play some golf, and just hang out with the guys. All that fun and this is the one and only picture that he came home with:

Enrichment Night

We had our annual EN Birthday and the theme this year was a Mexican Fiesta. It was a lot of fun, and I got to make some Cafe Rio pork, rice, and dressing... so I now have one of the best recipes around, thanks to someone on our committee. E-mail me if you want a copy, it's delicious!

Is it Spring Yet?

We had such a beautiful weekend and I thought Spring was finally here... but then the snow came. Hopefully we'll have our Spring back before we know it.
Jordan and Austin playing with their trucks in their sand box (I mean, Jared's sand trap - now converted into the kids' sand box).
We spent the day in Park City and had dinner @ Baja Cantina with our good friends, the Johnsons.
Play Day @ the Living Aquarium with Stacey, Dane, and my two boys. Jordan's learning about sharks in school so we thought it would be fun to see some real sharks and pet the stingrays and starfish.

Girls Night Out: Tiffany C. Tiffany R, Camille, Wendy, me, and Emily Kooyman. We all got together to celebrate Emily's last few weeks before she has her little baby boy (she's scheduled to have a C-section this Saturday). This girl is amazing; she had twin little girls who just had their 1st birthday a few weeks ago and she and Danny have been on a roller-coaster ride with this pregnancy. Their little baby has a very rare and serious disease called osteogenesis imperfecta or brittle bone disease, and we're all praying for the Kooyman's and this little baby boy who will be here in just a few days.
The Kooyman girls' 1st Birthday! Danny, Jessica and Jennifer celebrating.

Jordan and Austin waiting to see Dr. Valentine for their 4 yr. and 18 mo. check-ups. Looks to me like Jordan's reaching out to say "we're all in this together!"
We took the kids to see the Draper Temple open house and it was beautiful!
Jordan and Jared out to eat; I don't know - I think this little boy loves his daddy??

Rendezvous to St. George and Vegas

Every year we always try and escape some of this cold weather by sneaking down to St. George for a week or so and it's so nice to have some fresh sunshine on our skin. We left for St. George right after Jordan's birthday and the weather was still a bit chilly for the first few days but then it warmed right up.
My two boys playing at the park by Entrada
Jared's mom and dad were able to come down for the first few days and since it was still chilly, we decided to see the parade of homes (very worthwhile!) and go on a drive through Zions National park. I'm actually glad we had a few cold days because we usually like to be outside playing at the parks and pools and so we were able to do some sightseeing and go on a drive up through the canyons. We even got to see where the Butch Cassidy movie was filmed.
We saw some cool houses at the Parade of Homes.

Pizza Factory - Yum!

We went on a few long walks and it was so nice just to be outside. My little monkeys love long stroller rides and it seems to lull them to sleep... ahhh.

We left St. George and headed down to Vegas for a few days. There's so much fun stuff to see in Vegas, even for kids. The water show at the Bellagio, all the shops, the lions at the MGM (and the Rainforest Cafe - the kids loved it!), and just all the big hotels and shops.

After a long day my little kids were pooped out and they crashed on our way back to our hotel room. We all had fun being gone, but it's good to be home.
