To My Valentine

I wanted to share with you just a few of the many reasons why I’m so in love with you and you mean the world to me:
1.       You’re so easy for me to love.
2.       I love that you’re real, there’s nothing fake or pretentious about you.
3.       You speak your mind and you’re not afraid. Brutally honest - but I love that you don’t sugar coat things; what you see is what you get. I love your honesty.
4.       You’re the best dad in the world; my boys are lucky little boys.
5.       You’re so good to me and you treat me like a princess; you even tell our little boys that “Mommy is our Princess”.
6.       You’re loyal and protective; you make me feel safe.
7.       I love that you’re logical. You make things make sense.
8.       You let me just be me, just the way I am, and you never seem to get tired of me.
9.       You’re so easy to be with; we have a fun and carefree marriage and I love it that way. I love that there's no drama in our home.
10.   You make me laugh. At the most ridiculous things.
11.   When I slip up and say a bad word you always say, “Where did I ever find you?” And I always remind you: Club Omni.  And then you reply to that is, “Oh, yes, that explains everything”.
12.   I love that you keep pictures of me and my kids with you everywhere you go. And you brag about us to everyone you meet.  I think that’s so sweet and that means the world to me.
13.   There’s never been a day go by when I don’t feel 100% loved, protected, and I know that you’d do anything for me.
14.   I love spooning on Saturday mornings. I love cuddling up to you and just feeling loved. I love feeling connected to you.
15.   I love that when we’re standing in line you’ll pull my hair out of my jacket and run your hands through my hair, and then rest your chin on my head.
16.   I love that anytime I’m doing the dishes you’ll come up and hug me from behind and you just stay there…  hugging me with your arms wrapped around me. You make it difficult to get any dishes done, but these hugs are the best hugs.
17.   I love that you told me you loved from the very start and proposed to me 3 weeks after we met.  For as analytical you are about everything else, you were so quick to make up your mind that you wanted to be with me forever.  You’ve told me this so many times: you just knew.
18.   I love this life that we have together; and if this is all a dream just don’t ever wake me up and let me live in this oblivious state.  I love my life with you.
19.   I love every minute we spend together; that we’re so much alike, that we share the same dreams and goals, that we work as a team, that we support each other in anything that either of us set out to do, that we have the same temperaments, that we have the same theories on life, parenting, hobbies, etc. We’re so much alike and it’s so easy to be with you. I just love my life with you.
20.   Thank you for being you. If this grass is really greener on the other side, thank you for taking me to the other side. I love you.  I love you. I love you.

*Side note: thank you for running an errand for me at 2:00 AM. I had my alarm set for 5:00 AM to do something, and you are out at this very moment running my errand. As you left the house you gave me a big hug and you said, “I’d do anything for you.”
You have no idea how much you mean to me. Thank you. I’ll love you forever.

The Month of October

So I'm taking a moment to catch up: starting with October. Our family loves October because we love Halloween and all the fun activities that pave the way for the main event. Such a fun month! This year we had an unusually warm October, and that meant a few extra pool days, a few extra park days, and a few last days @ the lake before we tucked the boat away for the year. Here's a snapshot of the Month of October:

Happy Happy Birthday to my Jared! Of course, against his wishes - I always have to throw a little suprise birthday party for him. Because I love him like that :-)

And this is how we start birthdays off @ our house: Breakfast in Bed.
And then I took my guy out for the day and we had a couple's massage, lunch downtown, stayed @ Anniversary Inn, and went to dinner and a movie. A great birthday party for Jared.
