Halloween Days

This year we had a lot of fun doing things with the kids and celebrating Halloween (and the beautiful weather!). We carved pumpkins, went to a few Halloween events, went to the Ogden Dinosaur Museum, and just had a great time getting ready for Halloween day.
Here's what we did on Halloween:
Cornbelly's
Since Halloween Day was on Saturday this year, we had the whole day to play before it was time to Trick-or-Treat. Sooo... we took the kids to Cornbelly's. The weather was so nice and warm, and there's so many fun things for the kids to do.

Trick-Or-Treating around the Neighborhood
We have tons of kids that trick-or-treat around here. Every year I buy bags and bags of candy and I always run out. We love to see the kids and all of those cute costumes, and Halloween is just so much fun around the neighborhood. The Cahoon's blast the "Monster Mash" song all night, we do the hot chocolate stand, and a lot of the neighbors cruise up and down the streets in their golf carts dropping the kids off from house to house. We love Halloween - it's such a fun night!

We had plans to be the Wizard of Oz characters but Jordan was really set on being a knight. So we changed gears and I decided to recycle some old Disco halloween costumes that I had from an old disco ward party years and years ago.

Making Cookies and Carving Pumpkins
Jordan was my kitchen helper; we made some cookies to give to some of Jordan's friends at school and around the neighborhood, and he was the master-pumpkin-designer this year. I think he did a pretty good job!

Thanksgiving Point
A few days before Halloween we had plans to go to Cornbelly's @ Thanksgiving Point. It was a beautiful day in Draper, but when we got to Cornbelly's it was so cold and windy (I unloaded the stroller out of the car and it blew about 20 feet - it was that windy!); not a good day for the kids to be outside. So we went to the Dinosaur Museum instead. That's always a big hit for the kids so it turned out to be a great day.

Ogden Dinosaur Museum
This is the 2nd year we went to the Ogden Dino Museum with the Machons; the kids love this place! They decorate the entire park with pumpkins, mummies, and bloody body parts everywhere (it's kinda spooky at night!).

Preschool Halloween Program
Jordan was really excited about his preschool Halloween program; the kids sang some songs and Jordan's two brothers got to watch.
