There's just never enough time (so here it is, Sunday night at 1:15 AM and I'm going to get caught up here!) One of these days I'm actually going to sit down and turn this into a book so my kids can remember all of this. That's the plan, anyway :-)
So the Month of May was a crazy, busy month for the Larson Family. Summer's just around the corner, school's coming to an end. Birthdays, Mother's Day, Sand Dunes, etc.
Here's a snapshot of the rest of the month of May:
Mother's Day
I always love Mother's Day. Austin's preschool had a special "Mother's Day Tea Party"; all the kids sang songs to the moms and we had strawberry shortcakes for dessert. I'm a nut for these types of things so I was a happy mommy.
Jordan also made me some crafts at school, and I got flowers, cards, all sorts of fun things.
On Sunday after church, we stopped by to wish Jared's mom a Happy Mother's Day, and then we went out for dinner. It was a great day.
Jack's Birthday:
Sweet little Jack. Oh, how we miss this beautiful, cheerful, bright blue-eyed little boy so very much; May 20th will always be a very special day and a day that we honor this special little boy's birthday. We all wrote messages on balloons and sent those balloons up into the sky.
Sophie's Birthday:Our neighbor/friend/bishop's little girl had a birthday on the same day as Jack's birthday. We sent balloons up into the sky not once, but twice that day. (They have a little angel brother up there, too... so hopefully he got to be a part of the party as well). I sure hope so.
My Birthday:
So I love birthdays. I think they're great because I really don't mind getting a little older. Life seems to make more sense with each year that goes by and I don't feel any older, I get presents, people are nice to me ... yay for birthdays!
My sweet cousin, Tiffany, treated me to lunch at Cafe Rio (one of our fav's), and she gave me the cutest tops - she's so good to me!
Jared took the kids for a while and I went out and had a facial, and had a few hours all to myself to go shopping and pick up a few things. Later that day, Jared and I were getting ready to step out for dinner and Jordan got really upset because we missed our breakfast in bed ritual. I always make breakfast in bed for my birthday boys... and since it was my birthday I didn't even think about the whole thing. He had made me something special and wanted to give it to me for breakfast. Soooo... we made french toast and had breakfast in bed before our sitter came over. They all sang to me and we had french toast together... and it was lovely.
