12 YEARS?? Really? It's been awesome, but wow - that's a long time! So for our anniversary we stayed @ Hotel Park City and this is what we've done for the past 3 years or so. I love it here!
We check in, go have lunch on Main St., go swimming, play golf, hang out, hang out some more, go hot-tubbing on the back deck, and then go to dinner @ Ruth's Chris. It's just the perfect place on earth.
I'm dorky when it comes to holding on to old things that mean a lot to me; I kifed these two glasses from our honeymoon in the Bahamas for memory's sake and I brought these with us... so we had an early morning toast on 7.31.11.

Happy Anniversary Jared and thank you for giving me the best years of my life, a wonderful life, being the devoted hubby and dad that you are, treating me like I'm something special, letting me be silly and loving me just the way I am. I love you, I love you, I love you.
Deseret News Marathon, Pioneer Day, and A Birthday...
So I signed up for the Deseret News Marathon; I really liked the Utah Valley Marathon and I really wanted to get a better time so I thought I'd try this one. A quick synopsys: it was very downhill for the first 6-8 miles or so, and so my time was great. I ran as fast as I could and I was so excited - I was right under 2 hours at the 13.1 mile marker. YEAH! I thought I'd finish in about 4 hours if I kept up the pace.
At mile 16 or so my left knee just shot up in pain. I hate that left knee! At first I just kept telling myself to run through it, the pain would go away. So I took some advil, rubbed some cream on it, and tried to run through it. It just got worse, and worse, and worse. So the last 10 miles sucked.
I usually don't swear, but I really did toward the end. I just kept saying f-it. Just run through it. So what if your knee doesn't work for a while, just f-it. OH MY! It hurt so bad! I think in the rule book it said everyone's entitled to at least a few bad words toward the end, so I used mine up, for sure.
But once again, I got to the end, saw my family and it almost felt like I took a shot of something really good, my body felt warm - and the pain went away just like that. I was sore like crazy the next day - but everything went right back to normal. And of course, I already want to do this again. (Don't tell Jared I said that... he'd kill me).

The best part about running these things is seeing your friends and family at the finish line waiting to cheer you on... the best feeling on earth!!
Jordan: proud new owner of a shiny gold medal.
This is what I put out on the counter the night before... just so I wouldn't forget anything important in my delirious state; I left the house at 2:45 AM to catch the bus.
Tiffany is the sweetest thing on earth; she burned a bunch of music for me - so thoughtful. I love her to pieces!
And Jared, he's a keeper. He wanted to show some support and while I was out running around one day so he picked up something for me to run in and a sticker for my car.

Austin's Birthday Party!
And later that day we celebrated Austin's 4th birthday at Airborne Trampoline Arena.

4th of JULY
We started the day by going to the Freedom Festival in Provo. The kids did all the rides and I got to try out a few - so it was a happy day in Provo. Later on we made our way up to Layne and Diane's for a BBQ; the kids were so wiped out that we didn't quite make it to the firework show...
Riverton Carnival & Firework Show
This carnival is always on our 4th of July weekend "to-do" list; we love all the rides and they have the best fireworks.
Riverton Parade w/ the Kooymans
Deer Creek with Ambie
Draper Days
This is always a busy day for our family; the day starts with a parade, followed by a family reunion, and after that we go to Draper Park where the kids play on all the bounce houses, we eat kettle corn, and wait for the firework show. And this year my little buddy, Corbin had his birthday at Planet Play; so it was a busy, busy day.

Seven Peaks
Tiffany and I bought season passes to 7 Peaks and this has become our little spot. The boys get to plenty of play time... and I get to hang out with Tif. A win-win :-)

@ the Gateway
We spent the day at Seven Peaks and the kids wanted pizza for dinner... so we ended up here.
A Day with Valerie:
My niece was staying with Jared's parents for a few weeks so we tried to spend some time with her while she was here. By the time the day was over she told me that she had the most awesome day ever.. that's what I like to hear! And of course she fell asleep on the way back to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Family in Town
My Uncle Bob and his two kids, and a few of my other cousins were in town. The plan was that we were all going to drive down to Zions National Park and hike Angel's Landing, the Narrows, etc. Not enough time to plan = one of us had to stay home and watch the kids. Yes, I was the lucky one :-)
But I still got to hang out with my cute cousin, Amber, and I still got to see my family - we had everyone over for a BBQ when they came back through town.
Everyone had their minds set on playing basketball that night; so the did - in the pouring rain:

And while the family was away hiking and doing crazy stunts off mountains, Amber and I had a little girls night out. We ate sushi @ BlueFish, watched a very funny movie, and made our way over to Applebees and hung out there for a few hours... fun times for the girls.
Zions National Park
Jared got to spend the spend the weekend with my Uncle Wayne, Uncle Bob, and my cousins: Chase, Chelsie, Brad, and Jennifer... they had a blast.

Park City
Our family loves to go up to Park City; we always walk up and down Main St., shop @ the outlets, and in the Summer we always like to ride the Alpine Slide / Coaster and let the kids play on all the kiddie rides. It's just a great place; we love Park City!
