So August went something like this: Seven Peaks, Parks, Pools, Bear Lake, Seven Peaks, Park City, Seven Peaks, Las Vegas, Seven Peaks, Deer Creek, Seven Peaks.
Yes, this was the family hot spot this summer! The kids had so much fun swimming and going down all the slides. It was such a fun place to hang out and soak up the sun.
I'm wiping a tear away from my eye because today was officially the last warm day for a while and I know we're in for a long winter. I do love the change of seasons. I do. Really.
So here's a snapshot of the month of August for the Larson bunch:
Seven Peaks
Happy Birthday Chad!
I'm so lucky that my little brother and his family settled down here in UT; it's so nice to have my family close by. For Chad's birthday we went for a little hike up AF canyon and went back to their place for some treats. Happy Birthday Dr. Burton :-) So happy for you, and so proud of you!
Date Night
Bike ride with Ambie and Justin. Fun times :-)
Happy Birthday Tiffany!
Tiffany and I got to celebrate her birthday sans children (thanks Jared!) I just love this girl more than anything. I see her all the time and we still have so much to talk about everytime we get together. She is pure happiness. Happy, Happy Birthday baby girl!
Payson Lake
My boys' favorite thing to do is to throw rocks. This is true. They are always looking for small skipping rocks to collect for days like this. When we hiked Timp. I collected quite a few great skipping rocks for the boys so here we are skipping rocks and fishing at the lake.
1st Day of School!
Jordan started 1st Grade this year! Holy Cow! He's such a cute kid and he's so smart. I can't believe he's already in 1st grade. Austin started his 2nd year of Preschool. My kids love school (and I love having some one-on-one time with Cayden so it's a win-win for all of us).
When the Lights Go OUT.
This is pretty typical for our family. These little boys nap on the go. Grocery carts are actually very comfortable and completely suitable for tired kids.
Brothers
I love my little boys.
Mt. Timpanogos
I love this mountain. This was one of the first things I fell in love with when I first moved out here; it was really hard for the me the first time I hiked this big mountain and I remember so many days when things just weren't going my way, I'd look up at that mountain and tell myself, "I hiked that bad boy, I can do anything". So to this day, I still love to look at Mt. Timp and it's just one of the things I love about Utah. Tour De Utah
The bikers went right by our house, so we all wanted to watch the race.
And one last Summer BBQ
Family in Town!
My Mom,Kent, Carly, and their girls were able to come out for a visit and we had such a great time while they were here. My mom's wish list of things to do included: eat @ Cafe Rio, ride the Alpine Coaster in Park City, and go out on the boat. If we had more time I'm sure we would have been able to squeeze a little more in, but we did go to Cafe Rio, and we did spend a day out on the lake. We had a blast!
Sunday Dinner
My Family (minus Amy and Greg) :-(
With Tif and our little monkeys on a sunny day.
Real Salt Lake Game
Emery's Birthday Party
Family Home Evening
My kids look forward to Monday nights like no other. They always know that Grandma and Grandpa Larson will be there with a game and a treat; it's fun to watch the kids really get into the whole thing.
Pretty Sunset, Pretty Scenery, Pretty Utah
