The end of Summer...

Oh what do you do in the Summertime? This is a quick compilation of our last few weeks of Summer; and hasn't this weather been so nice? And can it just stay like this for the rest of the year? We're lovin' it.
Wheeler Farms with the Family:

Sunday drive up to Brighton Lake:

Jordan's Race!
Oak Hollow Elementary had their annual Fun Run and I was able to tag along with my other two kids in the stroller; I thought it would be up and down the street but not so. The run went through some neighborhoods and it was over a mile, so good job Jordan! He ran the entire time and when he crossed the finish line he grabbed a bottle of water and poured it on his head. I guess that's what people do when they finish a race. Good times :-)

Swimming @ the Pool with Dad:

Draper Park:

Temple Square Tiffany, her cute boys, and my Aunt Laurie had a play day @ Temple Square; I just love our play days and I always look forward to our Friday get togethers (and Wednesdays, Thursdays...)

Family Day @ Park City:

My boys:
Hmm... should I put this one up? Sure, why not?

And here's a few pictures of my snuggly little baby boy, Cayden. I have such a crush on my little boy; he's such a mommy's boy and I just love him to pieces.

Birthdays and BBQ's

We've spent so much time at home lately, just really enjoying time with friends and family, and plenty of food!
Jared and I were talking about our friends and family on and off today and the topic just keeps coming up, we just feel so lucky to have some of the greatest friends and family around us and so close to us. Thank you, thank you, thank you - those of you who mean so much to us and are such a part of our lives. Thank you.

Happy Birthday Little Girl!
I love, love, love this girl so much; she's just my pal and I don't know what I'd do without her. Tif and I just have so much in common that it's almost scary and I just couldn't imagine not having her so close to me. She has the MOST positive attitude and goes out of her way to make people happy. I could go on and on, and on and on. I just love her to pieces and she just makes me smile. I love ya little girl!!!

Happy Birthday Nicole!
Nicole was in town visiting from AZ and Layne and Diane were sweet enough to invite us to her party. Our boys love playing with all the grandkids and we're so glad they treat us like we're just part of the family.

Happy Birthday Zack!
Jen's friend Zack had his birthday party at our house; he's such a great guy and he's always fun to have around.

Happy Birthday Grandma Larson!
My boys love their Grandma and she really does go out of her way to make my kids feel special. She's a great Grandma and we appreciate her.

And other stuff...

Utah State Fair

Jordan going on the starship (I couldn't go on this one - I still remember how dizzy I was on the last Starship ride); he's going to be an adrenaline junkie, I'm afraid!

And I did go on this ride - the one that goes up and then drops you so fast that your stomach is above your head for a second or two. Yeah, these are the only rides that Jordan wants to ride. Lucky me.

At the Lake:
We had a fun day @ Deer Creek with our good friends, Jeannie & Jackson, and her sis-in-law who's in town visiting. We love the Machons and they've been such great friends to us.

Tubbers:
How'd you get those chubby cheeks little one? This might give it away; this kid loves food! He'll take my fork right out of my hand and go to town.

Snacks and Face paintings @ the Nest
It's always fun to go to school with a cool dragon and a shark painted on your face, right?

Good Friends:
We've been friends for this group for quite some time and we go on group dates - and they're just so much fun. So we had one big BBQ with the whole gang.
Here's a picture of the girls:

And a few of the boys after a quick game of basketball:

Relief Society Retreat
One of the sisters in our ward was kind enough to let 50+ women come up to her cabin and eat yummy food, hear a great message, and just hang out. We have such a great ward and there are so many great ladies whom I've enjoyed being friends with all these years.

We are so lucky.. so blessed to have such an amazing group of family and friends nearby. Siblings, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents, friends, neighbors..
And we have some of the greatest friends from our old neighborhood; I'm so glad we keep in touch with these friends (and I'm so sad that I missed our back-to-school lunch last week!) :-(
But for some reason today I've just had a feeling of gratitude for my family and those around us whom we love so dearly.
Thank you.

1st Day of Kindergarten

Jordan absolutely LOVES kindergarten and he's having so much fun being in a "big kid" school. He has the best teacher and he's made quite a few new friends. I still can't believe my little boy's in kindergarten! Here's Jordan's 1st day at school:

Logan, Brandon, and Jordan (church buddies)

Bus Stop:
I wanted to drive Jordan to and from school each day but he really, really wanted to ride the school bus. He was so determined that even though I drove to school to pick him up that day, his teacher told me that he thought he was going to ride the bus home so she let him get on. Sneaky, sneaky! So I rushed home to pick him up before the bus let the kids off... luckily Jared beat me to it. He loved riding the bus home, so he's hooked.

After School:The first thing the kids want to do when they come home is run in the backyard and play, and play, and play.

So far, so good! All the boys are happy, they all love their new schools, and I love that I have a few hours twice a week with just the one little guy.. this is awesome! :-) :-) :-)
