1st Day of Kindergarten

Jordan absolutely LOVES kindergarten and he's having so much fun being in a "big kid" school. He has the best teacher and he's made quite a few new friends. I still can't believe my little boy's in kindergarten! Here's Jordan's 1st day at school:

Logan, Brandon, and Jordan (church buddies)

Bus Stop:
I wanted to drive Jordan to and from school each day but he really, really wanted to ride the school bus. He was so determined that even though I drove to school to pick him up that day, his teacher told me that he thought he was going to ride the bus home so she let him get on. Sneaky, sneaky! So I rushed home to pick him up before the bus let the kids off... luckily Jared beat me to it. He loved riding the bus home, so he's hooked.

After School:The first thing the kids want to do when they come home is run in the backyard and play, and play, and play.

So far, so good! All the boys are happy, they all love their new schools, and I love that I have a few hours twice a week with just the one little guy.. this is awesome! :-) :-) :-)

Summertime: We're going to miss you!

I can't believe my little boy, Jordan, will be starting kindergarten tomorrow! This is all very exciting, but it brings me closer to the reality that:
1. Summer is coming to an end, and
2. My boys are growing up!
It's all going by so fast... Scary fast. Austin started his 1st year of preschool this past week, so I'll have 2 boys is school 2 days a week! How do I feel about all of this: it's bittersweet.
Here's a snapshot of our last few weeks of Summer:
Wheeler Farms with Tif and her Boys:

Tubing with the kids @ Deer Creek:

Jackson's Back! Jordan's friend went away for the Summer and we're so glad he's back.

Picking up our friends from the airport:

Boondocks: We had plans to go up to Cherry Hill but I failed to call ahead and check to see if they were even OPEN. You see where this is going, right? So when we drove all the way up to LAYTON and didn't see any cars in the parking lot, my heart sank. Well, to avoid a major let-down for my boys, we went to the next best place on earth: Boondocks, of course!

Camping (So we're not really camping, but according to Jordan and Austin, this is what camping is all about); so roasting marshmellows in the backyard:

Crack-the-Egg : Isn't Jared a good sport? He's just one of the kids, he really is! I love watching him play with those boys :-)

Tubbers playing in the dirt:

Pretty Sunsets

Swimming: Oh, how we're going to miss the swimming pool! We all love splashing and playing in the water, and of course - soaking up the sun.

Deer Creek: We invited Jen, Zack, and Zaden to join us for a day at the lake and we all had a great time!

Park City Day: We had lunch at our favorite pizza place on Main St., rode the alpine slide/alpine coaster, and Jordan wanted to fish so we ended up at East Canyon and decided to throw rocks instead. All boys were asleep on the car ride home :-)

"Fishing" at Tibble Fork (didn't catch any, but we sure had fun trying!)

Throwing Rocks at Silver Lake (these kids love to throw rocks!) I think we should make a sport out of this - they're becoming quite talented at their rock-throwing skills.

Gearing up for School: My 3 boys @ Grandma's Preschool.

Jordan's new School: Oak Hollow and nis new teacher: Mrs. Saltmarsh (isn't she so pretty?) I know Jordan thinks so! And she's super nice :-)

Austin's 1st day @ Preschool (he loves his new school! Every time we drive by he shouts out, "That's my school, that's my school!") That just makes my heart sing!

Jordan was giving his little brother a helping hand at making Austin's preschool birthday bag.

Just being boys:
