I just wanted to wish my sweetie a Happy Birthday and let him know that I think he's the absolute best hubby and daddy in the world and I'm SO lucky that he's mine. There's so many things I love about him and he's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I could go on forever, but here's just a few of the reasons why I'm so madly in love with my guy and why I'm the luckiest girl alive!
* The way he treats my kids; my favorite thing to do is watch my two older boys play "giddy-up horsey" on Jared's back and wrestle with each other while Cayden whacks Jared in the head and pulls his hair - cackling because he just loves to torture his dad. Poor Jared; but underneath all of that torment and with his head buried in the carpet I can still hear him laughing. Priceless!
* The way he loves me. Jared's the most devoted and loving guy I know and he's always made me feel like I'm his #1 top priority. He always asks my boys, "Who's our princess? Mommy's our princess".
* Just the way he is: Yes, he has a blunt side to him and sometimes he might come across as being, shall we say - brutally honest? But I love this about him. He doesn't waver or change the way he is to accommodate someone else's personality or likes/dislikes; he's true to himself. He's not fake, he's not pretentious, and he is who is.
* He's always lived by the theory "Work hard, play hard". When I first met him I couldn't understand why or how he could justify going to the gym in the morning, play golf at 2:00 PM, and then play basketball at 9:00 PM, and where he'd carve out enough time to get all of his work done. But he's always lived this way and I'm so glad that I met a guy who is all about living life to the fullest.
* I love how my boys adore, absolutely adore their dad. I think I hear Jordan say, "Dad, I sure do love you" at least 10 times a day. Yesterday Jared was wiping Austin's bum after he went to the potty; Austin with his bare bum gave Jared a full on bear hug and said, "I love you daddy for wiping my bum". He's so tender and sweet to those little boys and watching him interact with them makes me fall in love with him a little more each day.
I could go on and on, and on, and on about all the things I love about Jared. He's so loved and he's perfect in every way (for me, that is!). I love you sweetheart and I hope you have the best day ever.
And here's what we did for his birthday:
Breakfast in bed, of course! He got the hall pass to play golf with a few of his best friends, and then we had a ginormous dinner. Since Jared and his dad share the same birthday, we thought we'd have a birthday dinner for Jared and Robert and have some of their closest friends over for dinner and we'd invite our crowd of family and friends over for cake and ice-cream later. Ha! Thanks so much - yeah, that cake was not my doing. That Jennifer's masterpiece (Jared's little sister). She spent all day making that cute cake. She's quite talented!
